Mansion Of Malevolence
After A tough development cycle i have completed the development for Mansion Of Malevolence. Due to Personal struggles i left a lot of development to the last minute and this left me with no where near enough time to sort ant problems which has led to he game being nowhere near as good as i wanted it to be. The main problem i faced was getting the enemy projectiles to damage the player and the player to damage the enemies. The main issue out of these two was the player damaging the enemy, i worked on this for probably over 15 hours after already procrastinating for too long. I eventually got this issue sorted but it was by using a public static int which led to the issue that if you killed one enemy they all died. This is because a public static int keeps the variable the same across every single gameobject with the script attached. This was genuinely annoying after the excitement of getting it sorted hit by the lowest feeling of the entire project which was so devastating. In the end i decided to pivot and leave the script as it was due to lack of time to get this project finished. Due to this my desire for this to be a linear level like game has not been fulfilled and instead the game is just 1 room with a single boss enemy
